3-cats 1-coon 1-tree
I got a call from the father-in-law saying a neighboring rancher spotted a cat below his house in the creek. It was about 4 pm and 85 degrees but I figured I’d give it a try. I walked the dogs down across the creek to where I figured the cat was seen, both dogs took-off into the thick blackberries and brush and soon my older dog was opening, but not covering much ground. A few minutes later both dogs were making lots of noise and it sounded like they were right on the tail of their quarry. Another minute or so and they were treed, with my 1 ½ year-old female treeing first! It was super think down in the creek so it took a while to get to them, even though they weren’t far away. You could imagine my surprise when I saw in the tree 3 young bobcats and a big o’l coon! And of course, no camera. This may not be a big deal for some people on here, but I live in the mountains where coons aren’t to thick, and bobcats are spread pretty thin for that matter too.

Thats whats so fun about this sport, I never know whats going to be up a tree until I am looking up. Too bad you didn't get a picture... then you could have made up a neat story to go with it to post on that liers thread
" Yea my dogs are soo good they round up all the game in an area and herd it to the same tree! " LoL
I have had multi species treed only a few times and never in the same tree.
I had a grey fox treed and once I shot it out the dogs ran over to the next tree and there was a spotted skunk up there, didn't shoot that out for them tho left it to run another day
Just this year had a bear treed and in the middle of treeing one dog would keep running to another tree about 50 feet away and bark then come back. I finaly went over to look and there was a bobcat up the 2nd tree... I do know they started with a bear but musta run into the cat on the way and they treed close.
Years ago when we had big troops of Coati's around 20-30 animals my dogs then would tree the whole troop. That many Coati's making noise and jumping and climbing around shaking branchs is impresive. The population is way down now and we only get small groups or singles the last few years.

Coati's? I had to google them to even see what they were. Man 20-30 in a tree, that sure would help the pups learn to locate!

that is awesome! I have never caught two different types of animals in one tree, that's great! I caught two bears in the same tree that wheren't cubs. One was about 275 pounds and brown the other was about 125 and black. But I have never seen two different critters on the same tree. Good Job!

Re: 3-cats 1-coon 1-tree
If i ever caught a sasquatch it would be hanging on my wall!
Re: 3-cats 1-coon 1-tree
Yeah, i've caught 3 or 4 even had one with a youngin once but i elected 2 let them go for another day. Oh well i think its just the look in their eyes when you tree one, thats what makes it so hard 2 pull the trigger. The last one looked just like my Uncle Ed. So maybe on the next one i catch i'll give ya a call and let ya have at it and mount it huh?

TRACKER, no I'm not from Utah.
I will do my best to always carry a camera, and get a picture of the next "mixed tree" I come to,
AND next time you tree a sasquatch you have to post pics!!
