mike kemp hounds

Post by Ranger »

I wanted to see if anyone has a dog they would like to talk about or pictures to share of dogs out of mike kemps lines. It sounds like he has sold hundreds of them. Theres got to be quite a few out there. If there is someone that has one that has time to share it I would enjoy hearing about it. Last time i asked all that responded were people that had just picked up the pup. I hope that is not a bad sign. Mine is almost ready to be picked up.

I have been hunting dogs out of Mikes Arrow dog for 6 years on bears cats and grey fox with a lot of sucess in three states in all weather and terain. They handle good and hunt hard from the rig the road or free cast and easy to break.

I have 3 dogs from Mike, stormy is out of blackjack, sage is out of arrow, and my newest pup i got this spring is out of kemp and shine. All 3 dogs have great speed, tree good, handle good, and have tons of drive. Jazz (the newest pup) has run up in the front of the pack all training season, and riggs like she is a 3 yr old. I am very happy with all 3, and just sent mike another deposit for a pup out of Sharp. looking forward to getting another one.

Ranger, I have been hunting my two now since Feb. when I picked them up. One is out of Kemp and Shine and the other out of Kemp and Belle. They both are doing great. I am strickly trying to turn them into Cat dogs. They are doing great for their age. I do have them with an older dog I bought from Jeff Allen, which is tough because they are so fast. I have to slow them down.... They handle great and finally have started barking on track. (Thanks to the old dog). They tree fantastic and can hunt for several days straight without getting tired. Good luck with your pup, I think you wont be upset.
