I was with Davd when the timbers got the dog . Mine luckily dropped out just before his crossed the road, its to bad the good ones get taken for just doing what they are trained to do WCCN RADIO news has interview from me after Davids dog died. I tried to cover all aspects of bear hunting.

I heard that another dog was killed today in Clark county in the Rock Dam area.

It really sounds like you guys up there are getting dogs ate up left and right. We have had our share of dead dogs out here in Idaho as well. I think things are only going to get worse too. Until the wolf populations are decreased significantly they are going to continue killing dogs. Part of the problem is that the mindless liberal left feels warm and fuzzy inside when they know that wolves are roaming the mountains. Well hell, if they had to live with them and see how much of a negative impact they have on wildlife then their tune would be different, I am sure. The "SSS" method sounds better all the time. I feel sorry for all you guys out there losing hounds. I haven't personally lost any of mine to wolves but I'm sure that it will happen one day. Not soon I hope...

this is what they do to a good bear dog and a top bobcat dog here in wisconsin. this was last thursday night near spooner wisconsin.

this wasn't my dog but anyhow it still sucks no matter whos dog it is. i have talked to a few people now that have walked in to check their baits and the wolves ran them out of the woods.

i'm told another dog was killed east of cable last weekend but i dont have confirmation on that one yet.


here's a funny thought to mull over - theres supposed to be like what 30,000 bears in wisconsin, right? six weeks of hunting and i've yet to see a free running bear. but i've seen 5 different wolves. and theres only supposed to be 600 in the entire state??? does that make any sense to anyone?

it's all a frickin joke. we haven't had any problems yet but i am sure it's coming. they are all over us too. Dad saw 2 giant wolves cross right in front of his truck saturday. there isn't a deer left in the country where we hunt. This was Brock Paulson's dog and it happend in 10 minutes of turning him loose. the wolves were right in the woods when he turned in i guess and they ate him that quick. anyone that is a deer hunter, bear hunter, or any kind of hunter needs to step up and take care of one if they see it. we will not have anything left to hunt if they stay around any longer. they multply too fast for the amount of food availlable. the bowhunters in Buffalo county will be screaming here soon. that's a huge part of hunting down there is the bow hunting. i hope everyone steps up and takes one out if seen. take care.

In regards to coyote hunting. Barns makes a Varmit granade it fragments on impact and there not much more then big sand size peices left over. On coyotes it does not even exit the other side. It's made for small calibers and shoots well. Remember when diggin hole in your yard there are boot prints left in the fresh dirt. Wish you Wisconson boys the best I spent about a year and a half total in the north between Greenbay, Wasau and the U.P. Great country up there

I know a guy got one killed around the Loretta/Draper area last Friday. All he found were the collars and a little intestines I guess.
