bobcat dog.... lion dog?
I'm sure some of ya'll have seen my posts on the bobcat forum, but just curious.....If my dog turns out to be decent on bobcat, would she be worth dropping on a mountain lion track out west sometime? Obviously new to this type of hunting, but looking forward to years of fun and education ahead of me.
Re: bobcat dog.... lion dog?
I would say if you want to try it go for it. I bet she will do just fine on a big cat if she will run a bob. More scent to run the better. Good Luck
Re: bobcat dog.... lion dog?
I run both bobs and long tails with my dogs and seem to do fine i personaly think its harder to run an old stubby tail than a lion.... but the scent is a little difrent on how the dogs take it and trail it.
WIFE SAID IF I GO HUNTING ONE MORE TIME SHE IS GONE , d@MN IM GOING TO MISS HER COOKEN !!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. Bobcats are way harder to catch than lion. If your dog can catch a bob kitty it will smoke a lion.

I'd have to agree with the last 2 posts.... If your dog(s) can catch bobbers, a lion will be little or no trouble at all..
