anybody using any beagle hound crosses?

My dad had a friend who was part Indian that ran beagle coonhound crosses in arkansas that he had trained to run whatever he put them on I !! My dad told me that those dogs could put a bobcat up quicker than anything I have ever heard of or read about!!

You probably heard about Speckles, the beagle/walker cross hound that won the Oklahoma state hunt a couple years ago? 16 inches tall and she beat all the running dogs in a pen hunt on coyotes.

Doug Simmons, a houndsman from up around here had a beagle female named Sadie a few years back that was one of the best I've seen for running a hare in bad conditions. She could stay right on the line on cold days and old hard crusty snow when my dogs couldn't keep one going very long.

When she was young, Doug ran Sadie with his big dogs on a bobcat on one of those 20 below mornings that are way too common here. She froze all her tits off and was never able to raise any puppies after that
