I have permission to hunt alot of land, but really as Gary said if you just drop in you would really have a hard time getting some land. Most of the ranchers want the varmits killed cause of sheep and goats. Alot of dogs and bobcats

I had no idea there were many cat and lion hunters in Texas, as I thought the overwhelming majority of guys using dogs were running hogs.
I can certainly related to the situation down there; it took me years to amass the 9 ranches/30,000 acres I have permission to hunt now. Ranchers understandably were not eager to allow a stranger to hunt, but once one did and liked what I did for him, word of mouth was all that it took to hunt elsewhere.
