Moving to Missoula
Moving to Missoula
Hey guys, my wife's job has us moving to Missoula, MT quite suddenly. Wondering if there are any houdsmen thereabouts that might be able to show me around a little this winter...we'll be moving out in about two weeks. Thanks.

Re: Moving to Missoula
Be careful, you just may wake up one mornin' wearing wool socks and Berkenstocks. You'll feel so compassionate for the hounds that you'll free them to their ancestors and denounce all killing of animals. You wife will quit shaving and will put her hair into those braid type things and forbid the use of a bra in her presence. I warn ya, be careful, those hippies up there are wayyyyyy out there.
Just havin fun. If you travel south, I'd be glad to go with you. I'm about 6 hours southeast.

That's pretty funny...by the way, I'm moving from the Hippy capitol of the world here in Humboldt Co., CA. And those funny braids are called dreadlocks, oh, I'm well-versed in "weird hippy behavior". So to me and my family, this is a step in the right direction
.
At least you guys can hunt longtails up there, can't wait. I know some houndsmen over by like, Columbus, but that's a ways a way. Just hopin' we don't freeze to death up there. I've spent so many winters in CA, I hardly remember what snow looks like. Thanks guys...I'll look you up when I get there.

Re: Moving to Missoula
hope you checked on the residency laws, you must be a resident for 6 months, before you can by resident hunting and fishing licences, a non resident lion tag is $300 plus dollars and have to had the app in by Aug 31

Re: Moving to Missoula
Well I rodeo to make my living and of course while in Missoula we'd always stop at Fred's. I haven't been there for some time now. Is it still even open? We used to get a laugh out of that place, they had cold beer though!
Re: Moving to Missoula
yeah still there, they actualy remodeled the place about 3 years ago, but I bet you could still get a good laugh outa the place though lol

Re: Moving to Missoula
Hey guys...made here just in time for the snow! Anyway, wondering if there are any coonhunters around these parts? If so, and you wouldn't mind if a new guy tagged along, shoot me a PM...it'd be cool if someone could show me around. Twist, when you start hunting cats...I'll plan a trip up that way. Thanks again.
Re: Moving to Missoula
best bet for coons/coonhunters are on the east side of the mountains, not very many coons on the west side of the state, not saying they aren't there just few and far between
