But, I want to beat it some more. Sorta. I've been waiting for Garmin to come out with some new super duper collar and reciever that everyone just loves. BUT, I can't stand it anymore and after seeing that they really do work I've got to have one. My favorite place to hunt has cell towers near it and some places I drive straight under them. They throw my "beep beep" reciever off and I get alot of false readings when I'm in that area. Once they get out there acouple miles they beep in every direction and it's almost impossible to triangulate them. Believe me if you want but, I once lost my dogs and left my reciever (Maxima 5000) on accidently on the dash board and drove to work. I got to work and started getting a beep. It's over 20 miles line of sight. I checked and got a beep on every collar. My wife went up and found the dogs asleep under the tower. My question is could these towers affect a Garmin Astro or collar if I have to use it near them?
Also. The cheapest I've found them are on Ebay. Is this a good place to get a NEW one? Not refurbished...Will Garmin honor a warrenty if it's purchased threw Ebay?
Thanks. Hunter...

When I bought mine, amazon.com was quite a bit cheaper.
Don't buy the hype.

Don't get cheap and jack around with ebay, support our own by buying one from buddy, he is competitive on price and more importantly, a houndsman. They are worth the money if you use it and understand the limitations.
