A windy morning in the woods

Saterday

Well the alarm clock went of at 4:oo am and then again at 4:30 and then i finally got my but up at 4:45, i wasent filling so good but i wanted to go out any-ways so we collard the dogs and loaded up into the truck filling like crap but i did not care i wanted to go, so with the wind starting to blow and the dogs ready we headed to check some tanks were i had been seeing a track ore two.We stopped at the gas station and got some fuel for the truck and some food, drinks and some cold and flu meds... and pieowed. we hit the dirt road about sun up and i put dogs on the ground. I figured id road them to the tank and then walk them into some bluffs near by the dirt tank were id seen the last track. We got to the tank and by then the dogs had got their morning duties done. I got out of the truck and went one way around the tank and my brother in law went the to other side , shure enouph in the mud a track to a small female that we wouldnt kill but thought it would be good for the dogs to run, and i had to young pups that needed some training anyways, so i hollard for the dogs and pointed at the track and they went to work, but buy this time i was really filling like crap  and the wind was really getting up, we worked around for about 30 min ore so but never could do much with it as it looked pretty old. I looked up at them bluffs and really wanted to walk the dogs up to them but the way i was filling and the wind was not letting up any i figured it would be better to come back anouther day and try our luck i did not want to get any sicker than i was all ready filling and with the wind i probly was not going to get any thing going anyways, But at the same time i did not fill like going home yet nether, so id at least road the dogs threw a canyon just to get them pups use to working with the pack and heck you never know when you might cross a fresh track. We roaded them dogs all the way to the end of the so called road witch is not much of a road but it is a dang good place for a lion their lots of deer, brush, bluffs and water every thing you could ask for but came up empty. So i loaded the ole hounds up and went home. Its not just about going out and catching to me its about being out in nature with some of my hounds and watching them try to work out old tracks and and teaching them young not heads how to work i really love every day out and would rather regret something i did than regret something i did not do at all and if i did not go this the smorning i would have regret it.

I had to laugh when I read your post! I can't count how many mornings I wanted to stay under the blankets but I got up because maybe today would be the day everything went right but it never does. Then again if you do stay in bed you spend all day wondering what if.
