jdp,

Sorry, to here about your dealings.

I am with Mr. pittman, you should post the whole story there is 2537 registered members on this site and many more that just view it, but never post.

A man's word is only as good as the man, I don't know what you paid for these dogs or what you were told they could do?

My advice and I am sure the advice of other would be Never by an adult dog with out seeing them in the field first...........

I know the dogs. Reno is an older walker/bluetick and Dancer is a younger classy looking walker out of Bodie and a Leo Pichaco bitch from Nevada. Dave will not trial dogs out, but will have you come out and hunt with him andthe dogs as much as you want. I don't know anything about your deal. I haven't spoken with him in a long while, but he is a good dog man and as a guide has a 100% success rate on bear, lion and bobcat. He worked on the cougar study in Tiller with Jim Howell and others for a few years and was very successful. He did a lot of deprdation work for the fish and game since the eighties along with work on the Juniper ridge bear study. He is no johnny come lately to the hound world and I know for a fact that he has treed hundreds of bobcat. I am not defending him on this deal. He can defend himself. I was told about this post by friends who had heard about it and are highly pissed off. I am a friend of the family and Dave's recently deceased wife, Helene. and am wanting to throw out some truthful facts about Dave. Opinion is one thing and slander is another. When buying a dog for good money, it is best to see the dog in the woods for yourself and make your decisions accordingly. You live an hour away from Dave, not accros the country. The dog can't lie to you.
