My new mule!

Post by Brady Davis »

Finally found the mule I've been looking for. I've looked at and tried a bunch. THis big buggar came out of Utah. He's 11 years old and 16.2 hands...good thing I'm 6'3". He's a little big in the belly, a winter of hunting and he should be in fine form! I'm excited...And, his name is Leonard....not after you though Mike!

One of the only mules I've ever seen with an actual mane that lays down....I like the red with a flaxen mane and tail...pic doesn't show it too good, I'll get some better ones that aren't taken with a cell phone.

He seems to get along fine with hounds around.

I talked to Deon a few times, seemed like a super nice guy. He told me Ty had a few he was riding and he would send pics over and I never heard back. I called a few times but we didn't connect. This one came from a guy in Lehi...

I'm gonna call Ty Evans soon and see what he has, I'm gonna be looking for another good one this spring and I know Ty rides a bunch of them...

Deon did tell me to tell you hi though! When i told him I got his number from you he was worried you were selling your mule you posted on here!

Mike, you're pretty good at reading a picture! The whole time I was taking the pic that little fellar was not happy about being the one on the ground!

I ended up paying $2,000 for him which was an absolute steal. The guy had bought him 2 years before from the Jake Clark Mule Days Sale for $4,800 which is probably what he's worth. The guy got in a bind with some bills and offered him to me for 2k if I bought him that week. I was lucky though and my best friend lives in the same town as him so he went over, rode him and gave a glowing report so I sent the guy 2k and got in my truck and made the trip to pick him up. I've ridden him everyday since he's been here and I think he is right about the 5k catagory....I got real lucky

This week we've got some lion hunts planned and I'm very excited to use him for what I bought him for! Thanks for the positive compliments. I'll get some more pics LCK this week when we are hunting.

Where are you located? I have a lot of "feelers" out on mules right now and something may pop up again. I can check but there was a real nice dapple grey John just south of Denver, 9 years old for $2k....I think thats a steal...I can check if he's still available...
