Re: Cat tag
Hey Matt. My name is Dave Senecal. I am from Vermont but have a camp in NE PA. We usually hunt in bradford or susquehanna county. Primarily in SGL 219. We did not get a permit this year so I just posted, looking for someone with a tag. We do not have any finished cat dogs but have some pups in training and a bear dog that will run the cats. Certainly they could move a cat well enough to get a shot, and he would tree if the oppurtunity presented itself. If this is anywhere you would like to try hunting, and wouldn't mind running with some green dogs we would love to give it a shot. Please let me know and hopefully we can work something out.

Re: Cat tag
Awesome!!!!! this is Matt i changed my user name to save my self!!!We hunted cats here three years ago with dogs with a guy from WV and I loved it. Never killed the cat,Weather was putting snow down about 2in an hr. Not good for dogs..But just hering them open up was great. Im in central pa but traval to hunt all the time so the drive is nothing . .I know were there are cats here as of last week when the snow was flying. But im sure there are cats in your area. I could try and make some contact with a few guys in that area and on that SGL. Let me know when you are coming in so we can line some thing up Thank you for the reply I love this site I found it the other day wile looking for a dog and have been on here every day since. .

Re: Cat tag
Hey Matt. Last winter we spent a few days at camp and were able to locate several cats. the game lands is about 5,000 acres but has several roads throughout which allows you to get around and get in front of the dogs. We applied but didn't get a tag. I haven't been down since deer season so I don't know what the snow is like but we have some friends there who could fill us in on the weather. Not sure exactly when we could come but if there is good weather and cats to chase Im sure we can get there. When does the season go till? If you have some friends in that area who know the cats that would be great too. See what you can find out and we will find out what the snow is like there and try to set up a few days or something either way. Look forward to talking to you further and hopefully we can get you a cat.
Thanks,
Dave
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Cat tag
Hey Matt. I was just wondering if you are still interested in trying to do a hunt. Maybe you found someone else. Either way not a big deal just touching base.

Re: Cat tag
Hey Dave and fellow houndsmen the tag is no longer avalable.Snow left here so put steel in the groung and hooked one!!Im in central Pa. Weather has been crap for finding trax. No snow and frozen dirt at night. My be some snow next week?? FYI Pa game comm. has proposed that every one who buys a trapping licens. next year will get a tag for a bobcat the draw back will be a three week season. Who knows what part of fall or winter. This may make for hunting cats in the snow even harder.. Thanks
