Re: coldest nosed line?

i have only question for this topic as i have two utchman hammer smokey river sisters and they seem very good nosed just not able to prove there ability can anyone give me information on this background being late starters. as my best nosed dog seems very immature to her sister who seems very good but does not compare to the first mentioned dog as the nose goes but seems more aggressive and wants to hunt more., secondly i also have a fulll sebastion dog who seems as though her nose has never let me down in the past six months or so but runs silent and also turns around without others with her but has shown serious potential when she has competition from a friends male cameron, she even barks but deffinately is an alpha female dog on the track. does anyone have any information or comments on the sebastion line being very cold nosed, as supposedly julious sebastion (JOE) was a leader in having bluetics registered dogs here in america in the early fifties. anyway thanks for any information and this was a good read setting asside the begining bashes.

Blue Pilot of the 60`s. Grant hounds , some of Elbert Vaughan, all old line, all that I have bred into my line of silver mist hounds. Won`t claim to have the coldest but after 50 years, I have never been ashamed of them.at least I`m happy with them.

I'm really fond of the old O.O. Grant bloodlines. Personally, I like Driftwood, Silver Mist and some old Calloway bloodlines.

The coldest nosed dogs I've hunted with are heavy Smokey river.I have Smokey River Chief Geronimo here and he is cold nosed and has the ability to move the track.Geronimo has 5 shots of Smokey River JBS Chief and 21 shots of Smokey River Bl. Diam. Jim in his pedigree.I have a young male sired by Geronimo that goes back to Smokey River Bl. Diam. Jim 46 times with the closest in the 4th generation and he is proving to have a cold nose with the brains to move the track
As far as Cameron stuff,I have had 10 and they didn't suit me at all.The good Cameron stuff I've hunted with was crossed on Smokey River or old Utchman.
