first for me

Post by tkberry »

We where out last saturday and the dogs started quick. When we got to the tree no coon just one big bird nest. We pulled the dogs back out to the road look at the nest one more time and the coon stuck his head up and look at us. Now the big question shoot him in the head and some one has to climb up and get him out . Well we body shot him and it drop right at the feet of my son and his friend for big talkers i have not seen boys run that quick in a long time. The dogs jumed on top and finshed him off. I have never seen a coon hide in a nest like that befor but I will darn well make shure we check the nest alot better next time.

If I was you, I would keep dog on tree, and NOT give up! Keep trying make a target hit on tree branch 1' ft away from nest to make noise and see if coon get scared and crawl out of nest then make sure its COON then final shoot again.

Hey that is a great idea. I just thought the dogs lost the coon. I guess they knew better than me.
