Re: magnum tracking
You cant go wrong with the collars, they are lightweight, strong signaled, and long lasting.
I also really like the Magnum 8000 box. It is really nice. Small, easy to use, and reliable. I use an old Wildlife 1000, but am going to be buying another MT8000. I had one before and they are the only thing I liked better than my 1000. Alot nicer than the Quick Tracks, Trackers, or Icoms.

Re: magnum tracking
I haven't owned a magnum receiver, but have heard good things, especially the MT8000. I do use magnum collars and really like them, excellent range and easier to pinpoint than some others. I did have one magnum collar go bad after 8 months, sent in back and got a new one free. If you pay attention you will notice no two collars are exactly the same regardless of brand. I spent several years locating wildlife for a living and have noticed each collar has its own personality in a way. Maybe I am crazy but I see the same thing in dog collars too.
