Tri Tronics shocker

Post by Hunter »

I have an older style Tri Tronics Classic 70 shocking system. I replaced the batterys on both the transmitter and reciever acouple years ago. The system worked just fine until this fall when the collar didn't seem to be charging. Here's what it does. I place it on charge and the indicator light blinks red (meaning it's dead) and then turns to a green/red blink meaning it's getting charged then it turns green meaning it's charged all within less than a 30 minute period. This happens 8 out of 10 charges and then the other 2 it charges for acouple hours before the light turns green. Would this be a battery issue or a charger issue?
Thanks. Hunter

Contact Tri Tronics (1800-456-4343) they are real helpful and they stand behind their products. If the system is too out dated they may refer you to the Collar Clinic.

If you get in touch tri tronics they will give you the number to collar clinics, which is doing all the stuff for the classic 70's now. They're deal is 100 bucks for all new batteries in two collars and reciever. They said if that doesnt work send old and new batteries in and they will replace the mother board and check the batteries for an additional 25 bucks.

Just another idea if you do not want too put more money into a older system, if you call tritronics and trade your old system in they will give 25% Off a new system. The problem you described sounds like a bad battery.
