a few vids

Post by bearhunter77 »

Thought I'd share a few vids. I'm no pro at houndhunting but I get lucky at times. Most of these catches were with mine and a friends hounds. I'm no cameraman either as you'll be able to tell.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAvNd8iARecfirst race of the season and I got lucky. the buckskin is mother to the saddleback and half sister to the brindle plott who was owned by a friend of mine.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXWZCU360HgMy buddy Jeff and I had some crappy luck that day. We cut a track earlier that day but passed it off. Took the snowmachine up a canyon but it had overheated. We then went to another canyon and found nothing so we let the dogs off and roaded them for a while. Misty tends to stick to the vehicle too closely at times and this time she was too close as she got ran over by Jeff's 3/4 ton dodge cummins. Fortunately she's a plott and was a little shaken but unscratched. We went back to where we had seen the kitty track and checked the area out when Jeff's Thunder dog winded something and took off. This was the outcome.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye3ViByLFb0caught this coon while looking for lion tracks. Hounds could care less what to run for as long as they could run something that day and they did.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1-vVaHKaBscaught this bear a couple of weeks after the sow and cubs. Good race. Short and to the point. The tree blasting walker is Bonehead who is owned by my buddy Jeff. I've never seen so much personality in a dog as I do with him.

BH77,
Now that is funny right there.

"There is a bear behind that branch right there . . . I ain't lyin' !"

Great videos you got there. Congrats on a good season.

The dog you have posted for sale, Is that Misty? She is a great looking little dog, seems friendly enough in the video too. How much of the work does she do to put them bears up? How is she on cats? I notice she wasn't in the video with the Lion. Oh yeah, and no need to wonder how she is on coon. Great Day! She was yankin' that coon through a knot hole by its buns. Bit of grit in that there dog I recon?!

Misty is the buckskin for sale. Misty puts in her two cents. I'll put it this way. Every bear that I've caught this year she's been there but one and that's because she had her pups the night before. Now I've caught with other hounds especially my buddy Jeff's who has some sensational hounds but when I hunt mostly my hounds I wouldn't even consider not taking her with us. The two bear trees in these videos she made being four weeks pregnant on one and six weeks on the brown bear. She likes them bears. As far as cats go I'll be honest. I do not have very much time to hunt cats and the one cat tree that I did make it to I decided to take her pup and do some training on the cat with him. When she was younger she did make it to a few lion trees but Smiley would have more information on that. He has known her since she was a pup.

Was that 4 bears in one tree? My hat is off to you! I have had three in one tree but never four! Good looking dogs also!

thanks for the complements BGH. This fall my buddy Jeff caught five bear in one tree. I know alot of you guys think I'm lying but they had caught two sows with three cubs in one tree. I'm gonna try my best to steal the video just to prove it.
