Mike Leonard's Hondo...

Dozer, Copper, Hondo and Siren

Cash

The bobber...

Enjoy...
Tyler

Cash actually took off on it first. We were busy tying on saddlebags etc, getting ready to leave the truck. He was up on the side of the hill we parked next to and hit the track... they trailed it for about a mile before they got to fawn it had killed. The cat wasn't on the kill when they got there, but the track got hot after that... they trailed it for another 2 miles or so, then caught it in the saguaro. I've never seen a bobcat in Arizona kill a deer, but now I have.bency wrote:Right on! They just fear your dogs lol Was there much trailing when you caught that bobber or was it a pretty hot track??
Thanks for sharring.

Hondo is improving every time we take him out. He's really starting to honor the strikes of the older dogs and wanting to get in the action. He showed improvement over last week's bobcat race on a pretty tough lion track we ran yesterday in some nasty country in high wind. The rain and hail started coming down, so we had to pull off, but I think he's doing very well.Mike Leonard wrote:Hondo has some good teachers both the hounds and the hunters, but I reckon it will be awhile before he graduates I looked at his papers and he wont be 2 years old until the end of June.
I don't think Tyler's Siren dog is any relation to Hagar who is Terrell Shelly New Mexico bred and I beleive Siren is out of an old line of Arizona dogs.
