Re: Blue ticks
I believe that the Cameron strain of blueticks is one of the best for bear or any biggame hunting for that matter, they are early starting, track driving, gritty, and some of the most natural tree dogs I have ever hunted. Steve Phipps in Oregon breeds some awesome pups his kennel name is Cascade Crazy Blueticks or Jim Harrel in Montana also breeds some good dogs his Kennel name is High Lonesome Blueticks, and finally you could go directly to the man himself Mr. Del Cameron. pick up one of these dogs and you will not be disapointed. I bought one of Steve Phipps pups and he is the best pup I ever bought, he is 6mo. old and already starting to strike from the rig and catching his own coon, the other night he made it on a tough bobcat race for over 5 hours before getting hung up but what more do want from a puppy!!

Joking aside, I dont run either, but its the best cross for blue ticks if you hunt heavy cover. Or the best I have seen. Pretty nice dogs.
