Upson Bluetick

Post by cityboy »

I noticed a few mentions of the Upson Blueticks in some of the other posts. My Blue is linebred Upson. Sire and Dam have same father. This is his first hunting season, he'll be 15 months old around Christmas. I've been running him once a week in a 400 acre coyote pen for 2 months now. Every time out he gets better and I gotta say I'm very pleased with his performance. He's black and white, no tan. Is that characteristic of Upson dogs? Weighs about 70 lbs and is pretty fast. Keeps pace pretty good with my buddys foxhounds...for the first few hrs anyhow. Anybody got any more info on Upson Blueticks? He's also got some Cameron and Smoky River further back in his line, and alot of stuff I've never heard of.

Upson blueticks

I have purchased three different blues from Dennis. The first was by far the best. He was by Blue Boy II and Blaze. I think this line of hounds improved by dogs confirmation and made them better athletes. One of the hounds was an all bule female and I know Dennis is partial to this color pattern.
