I have a buddy that moved to idaho recently and got his hound permit and lion tag. Now i know that most of the units close at the end of the month. 41 and 42 stay open later. I was wondering if there are many wolves in the area. I am considering going over there to hunt with him but dont want to take any chances running into those damn things. Any help would be great. I'm not trying to get anyones hunting spots or anything like that just wondering where is safe to go and not have a problem with wolves. Thanks Daniel.
Also he lives in Homedale so anywhere around there would be great!

you dont need to worry about wolves in the owyhee are a few people say that there are some but if there is it is very few. The problem is that the area that is open longer is hard to get it done.

I was in that area earlier this year and saw so many wolf tracks I didnt even turn my dogs loose, I even passed up a nice tom track.
