90 lb. Lion

Post by BigGameHunter »

After a lot of hard hunting we found this young lady a lion to harvest. Treed a few but nothing worth shooting until the dogs found this one.
Walked up a south facing bare slope hoping for a little luck and it didn't take long for them to strike this cat. Started walking at 7 AM, got to the tree by 3:30 and made it back to the truck by 1:00 the next morning.
She deserves it; she earned it!

You might want to check your scale.. That cat might go 93lbs if you calibrate your scale..

Hey I'm rounding here guys. Hunters code is to always round up right? You want the actual weight????? It was 87.5 lbs. That is on a certified scale, so you guys just give me a break. I wouldn't lie to you. Some people are always trying to stir the pot.....

BGH are you making a joke about the weight? That cat sure looks bigger than 90lbs to me!?! Either way, good job, way to work for it.They cant all be right by the road. :P

I have a pic of his twin, face resemblance is uncanny, size is pretty close too. I'll PM ya a pic, could pass for the same cat, but I guessed him at 160-170. i wouldn't be surprised if this cat of yours is in the 170-180 range. Outstanding!

Glad somebody put up a pic of a REAL quality tom, this should hopefully sort through all the BS posts of 150-170lb cats floating around. Helen Keller could see the difference between em all with this lion!
