Re: Garmin collars, anybody got these yet?
I have seem these on e bay and other places.
Don,t like the idea for the sewing.
I just bought 4 from Spud and Deb's in Pisagh Forest, N.C.
The ones he sells seem to be a lot better but I will not be trying them til about 2 weeks from now as I am out of town.
Will let all know how they work.
The collar doesn't have to do with waterproof.
Spud and Deb's collars are $15.

I did 3 in less than an hr, worked out great, there are already pre drilled for the holes in the main tracker and booster brackets - easy to change!!

Re: Garmin collars, anybody got these yet?
Whats so special about these collar kits for twice the price?? Regular dayglos are about 6 bucks (gotta get the kind without the center ring) All you need is a nail and a butane torch to punch the holes and some shrink wrap (like for battery cables) and a heat gun (or you can even use the butane torch). They are not completley water proof but as much as the orginal Garmins are and it does not affect warranty.
Once you go black, you'll never go back! Duncan big game Black and Tans.

check out conkeysoutdoors.com - they are best out to gether collars i have seen for th garmins, every wire is completely hidden.
