It's just a guess, but I am gonna say, no they dont smell at all the same to a hound. ONe reason for my guess is that they dont smell at all the same to me either. :)

take it for what you will. this was my first year and the guy i hunted with only hunts bobcats and his dogs are straight. we got around 15 when i was with him and he ended up with i think 49 for the year. his dogs never struck on a coon. i can only think of 2 chases were a pup took off on a deer and one of them was on the way back to the truck after getting a cat. so i would say no they are not the same to a hound
