311 entered in the field trial and 81 in the Bear race.

We're already working on next years race.

Dale, what a great time. My son's dog came in about 11th in the 1st division final. BTW, why don't you give them greyhound crossbred dogs their own class?? It kind'a takes the steam out of you when you get in line with them racing dogs...

I agree,
I'm pushing hard to get them in there own open class and then we only need three class's of hounds.

I think thats a good idea, it is discouraging when you know your dog is going into div 1. I had 3 dogs in it this year. :(

Thats why I didn't reenter my best dog, When they do get in the finales with them all you can hope for is that the gray's go south, and thats not fair for anybody.

It was still a fun weekend. Even the part where we got pulled over by the forest service right after turning my dog loose  Thanks Dale to you and everyone else that worked so hard to make the Elk Creek event one of my favorites to spend my hard earned $$

I was one of the ones out looking for their dogs all night. My diamond dog and a dog from nevada ran something into grindstone. It was a long hike getting to them, but at least most of it was in the new burn so I didn't have to bust to much brush. I got back to camp around 3:30 in the afternoon Sunday. I wish my old dog would have finished the bear drag, but I was pretty happy with what she was after.

Hey Ross, I'm the Nevada guy that was in the blue toyota. I just wanted to thank you for helping my ol father-in-law on the other side of the canyon there. He always has some sort of wreck or another and You were a huge help.Too bad we didnt have one caught  I saw alot of bear sign down there in the poisen oak along the creek. I left about 3pm and got home at 11. I get up for work at 5am and it was along day....
