Take the Mt. Lion ID TEST

Post by FullCryHounds »

This year in CO., in order to get a license, you must pass a test the DOW has put online. It's basically to educate everyone on how to ID a female from a male. It's free to take. Have fun.

Took this Test.. Got 100% studied before leaving and was pretty confident about what I was looking for...

And I still sexed mine Wrong.

:( I said I wasn't going to shoot a Female, and I totally F'd up.. Took my time, Clearly Seen the Black spot, it was a Male and decided to Harvest it.. Aparently there is a Black spot on a Female also..

I even Called it in Yesterday as a harvested Male I was sure that it was a male..... but the more I looked and thought about it, the more I realized that I had a female.

Qouta will update tomorrow with one less female availible....

I'll upload a couple pictures soon, and give the story on my First lion harvest. We had to really work for a track conditions really went to crap and we just couldn't Buy a lion track.

Have to go Skin this thing, and get the meat taken care of. I'll BS with you guys later..
