I have got some pictures of old Hank if I can find them.

Hank was a red headed walker dog that had a little more ear and a little more wrinkle in his face than most of todays walkers. He was stout built but got around good and handled the best. One thing I recognized when I first hunted with him 15 years ago or so he had a presence about him. And the confidence that jeff had in the dog was noticable. We could be out there on a bad loss on a cold lion track. We are setting there on our horses, and dogs are popping off here and there and Jeff just keeps talking, then after a little but you hear that long drawn out bawl, and Jeff looks over and says. Ok Stud the old Man has it let's go. Matter of fact!

My dad had a dog out of hank and bonnie that he called Kate. She is gone now but almost all of our dogs we have now are out of kate. We crossed her with a redbone male dad had and all of the dogs we have now are from that cross. These dogs are very catty, they dont seem to have interest in anything but a cat. The red male he bred to kate came from kelly wright out of yank and midge that he called Rowdy and I would have to say rowdy had a better nose than she did. I still have one female directly out of kate and rowdy that is 8 years old, dad has a female of the same cross and we both have males of the same litter that is our lead dogs today. These old style jeff allen dogs are awesome from what I have seen. And like said above they dont quit a lion track, And they are tough.
