That's awesome I can't wait to see the video. It will be awhile before I can invest in one of those. They look and sound cool though. Good luck.

I've tried a few different cams. Eyeanimal, is a piece of junk. If it gets a little wet it's done. I've used a tachyon helmet cam. It's outdated technology. Just picked up a go pro hero. Not too happy with the weight, size and cost. I have yet to figure a way that I'm comfortable letting my hog dogs run through the thick brush with it yet.

Got a question for Dean. How do you mount that camera in that way and have the picture come out right side up? Or am I missing something???

My camera is mounted upside down but all you have to do is go to the 'setting's menu. One of the choices is how you want the camera to view where up is. You have two options, normal or upside down. This allows you to mount the camera upside down but not have to flip the video after it is downloaded, the camera does it for you. Very simple.
If you notice the last pic I posted of the camera mounted on the collar, it is pointed slightly uphill. It turns out that that is perfect. It actually compensates for the angle the dog holds his head when running or looking up in a tree.
All I'll say now is that the video is unbelievable. Working on another angle to show some closeups of the lion in the tree from a foot away from his face, if I can only get him to stop slapping the camera.

I think it has more to do with how much Dean thinks he is going to make on his new video adventure. They will be available at every Cabelas, Sportmans Warehouse, and Bass Pro Shop for the very low price of $99.99, or you can buy them directly from him for $159.99. I think we should keep begging, you know houndsmen are the best critics. He could release a trailer, but he knows hound hunters are so cheap they would just watch the 30 second trailer over and over instead of spending money on the whole thing.

Ive been thinking about using one of the chest harnesses that has a plate in the front. My idea is going to using a go pro chest harness bracket and attaching it to the dog harness. Still thinking on attachment methods of the bracket to harness. Havent bought either harness to take a look at it. Considering using paracord and some spray expoy or two sided tape. The GoPros are really good and tough cameras. We use them quite a bit at work on the race cars to watch suspension parts. My one main concern is if I mount it to the chest dont think it would be a good video till the scent got better or jumped when they pick their head up. Will see about picking a harness up this weekend and do some thinking.

The Go Pros are around 300 at Best Buy when I seen them. Probably find cheaper online somewhere.

I got mine free. Just had to buy a 9000 quad. Yamaha has a promo going right now with GoPro.
