I have never use one but someone I sold a pup to sent me a cool video of that hound with one on his collar.

He told me the make is Go Pro Hero sold at Best Buy or REI.

I'm currently using two Go Pro's Hero's. Still working out the best way to mount it to the collar. Haven't got that shot I'm hoping for yet. Go Pro's work pretty well because they have a stabilizing system built in and also two wide angle settings. They are also 1080i. They will take a 32gig card which gives you about 5 hrs of video.

Midland XTC 300's work great. Smaller than Go Pro's and are 1080 as well. They come with several different mounts. Adapt to a collar well. Makes for good videos.

that is great! i want one for my dog. i would love to see all the stuff my dog runs across while it's in the woods. it jusst might tell me if they're really running fox or deer.

Yeah I like their mounting method but and price but what I wonder can if focus and stabilize while dogs are chasing a bear or lion through the brush for a couple hours or will it just be a blur? Thats my biggest issue.

GoPro cameras have stabilization built in and it works very well. I mounted my camera using the two tabs built into the cameras plastic case with a bolt through them. I then took off the aluminum tab/bracket on the Garmin collar and used two L brackets I made out of aluminum stock. Mounted the camera on that metal bracket on the garmin collar and its perfect. The camera sits below the dogs neck and is protected but gives a perfect perspective from the dogs view. I mounted my camera so it's pointing slightly up so you can see the dogs nose and the bottom of his ear. I'm working on a video right now. Won't be done till after our season is over.
You'll have to buy a 32gig SD card for the camera which gives you five hours of HD video.
