tundra

Post by Bticked »

az gogetem, my truck is a 2000. The only transmission I could get was the automatic. The only way you can get a stick on a tundra is if you go with the v6. I keep a log book of my mileage and oil changes and such and looked at it and if its unloaded and just me and a few things on the freeway, I can get 21 on a good calm day. From what ive seen, and me and my friends have always driven toyotas, my v8 gets the same and sometimes better mileage than say, well my other truck, my friends new tacoma and my other buddys older tacoma all with v6s. But, I rarely get into the pedal too so that helps.

I use my 07 Ford F150 to get to the mtn. It does pretty good on gas. Then I have a honda Rubicon and pull a trailer behind it. It does pretty good on gas and I can haul 7 dogs. 5 or 6 in the box and 1 or 2 up on top. I look kinda like a redneck, but it works.

i love hate ol toyotas- lol

very reliable-- they tread very lightly --
sometimes float over soft ground or packed snow like an atv - the ride suxs- no room - etc -

remenber when gas dropped to 1$ a gallon - about 95
i bought an old 2wd toyota from a neigbor for 200 $

i tried to beat that poor little truck to death - it would fit on atv trails - long as i could straddle the ruts i could go places i never been in a full size 4 wd- i used to put 5 dollars in gas in it most days -- and i could skip a day sometimes -- :)
at the time i was making payments on a full size 4 wd and just putting so many miles on it i figured would be 300,000 miles before it was paid for lol
bought the toy just to save the ford-- now that is patriotic - :)

i havent boght another ford since- lol buy any old junk toyota i can get my hands on-
and run em into the ground -

i hate them-- but i cant afford to do what i do with anything else and it isnt just gas-

fords ate u joints brakes clutches etc

all the repairs that made me switch

nyways-- i have a 94 4wd toy 22r now- ive got from 18 to 28 mpg

- 20 -21 most the time
when the tailgate drops
