Yagi

Post by kdrchuck »

I have a QTR 6000M. Broken all the elements off once (at the welds) and screwed everything together. I have now broken one off at the screw. I'm looking for an antenna I've seen before. Has push button release on it instead of the wing nuts. I'll have to get something before bear season. I don't want to buy another one from QT. The wildlife antennas my brother has, have lasted forever without breaking. Any suggestion?

That be the one desertdweller...at least one like it. I was on The valley creek website earlier today and evidently overlooked it. Thanks for the link.

I talked to the guys at Midway Telemetry in Virginia also today. They have a Yagi they sell for $75 dollars, and they also do repairs for, whatever qouted price. I may buy one of theirs and send mine to be fixed and get 2 antennas for what one of the nice ones cost. After some more consideration; springs and latches are the types of things that don't last.

Get a marshall antenna... they are slick. I would never be without mine. It has paid for itself many times.

kdr,
I owned a 3elment with the spring buttons and it drove me crazy! I prefer the wing nuts when I am not using my mini2.
