Greetings from Viking Country

Post by Wild_blueman »

Hello all,
I am new to the whole hound dynamics, but have been hooked since I first went out hunting. Getting into the whole thing a little later than most, I am 28, but better late than never. Live in SW Minnesota, so there is not much for big game to hunt other than the rare 50 lb boar coon.
First got to hear about Lion hunting when I was attending Casper College, in Wyoming but was never able to go out. Then heard a bit more while at Colorado State University.
Other than hounds, I am a Farrier, horse trainer, and wrestling coach. Other from my "hobbies" I'm a teacher. High School Ag and FFA advisor.
Almost forgot to mention that my hounds are both Blueticks. My female is a strait Uchtman bred Bluetick. Also a male that was originally trained for bear in Wisconsin but he got given up on to soon. Cold nosed and a great work ethic for me. He is Droop, Spanky, and Jet. All up close
Thanks all and I hope to keep on learning.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like you've got some well bred dogs. I've run Droop(Jr?) dogs, they are a handful.
