Tri Tronics question

Post by Hunter »

My old classic 70 has crapped out on me. I was looking on their web site and found a "trade up" program. 25% off a transmitter and receiver(collar) and 15% off all other items (recievers, chargers and what not) at purchase. I'm just going to get new gear (put's the Garmin on hold for a bit :? )and was wondering if anyone had used this program? Also, my old receiver still works it's the transmitter that's shot. Would my old reciever work with my new transmitter? That would save me from having to buy all five addional recievers. Finally, I can't get a for sure answer as to whether each additional reciever comes with a charger. They recommend the dual charging setups and cradles. Will my new recievers come with their own charger?

I think the G2 and G3 models let you use different receivers, but not the older ones.

You could probably find a used Classic 70 transmitter. I don't know if it would need to be tuned to your collars or not though. Might want to ask tri-tronics. I have seen quite a few classic 70's for sale on here, coondawgs and the UKC boards. Buying a used Classic 70 wouldsure be a whole lot cheaper route to go. Just my $.02

The new additional receivers will NOT come with chargers. You have to buy each charger separately to the tune of around $20 each. With that said, I have four collars and two chargers. I can charge two receivers that are completely dead and within a couple hours they are fully charged. Throw the other two on to charge and I'm ready to go in the morning.

I went with the trade up program. I had a innotek that didnt workand they gave me 80 bucks. and 20 % off all new and threw in chargers and cradles and covered shipping. I think the total was like 525 for classic exp 3 dogger.
