Mary's Peak Oregon- November 2007

Post by Libby »

November 2007
10th: UKC Beagle Rabbit Hunt & Bench Show / Doernbecher Fund Raiser Fee Hunt $25.00 B.S. $15.00

10th: Grade Dog Coonhound Nite Hunt Fund Raiser & Money Hunt ~ Fee $25.00

November 10th is a Saturday. This is NOT UKC, so any coondog can enter...papers, no papers, cur, fiest, cross...does not matter!

A portion of the entries will go to Doernbecher, the rest will be put into pot for top three point winners. 50%, 30% and 20%. Last hunt we had 13 grade dogs, won't get rich but might cover your gas!

It's for a good cause (both the charity and that hunters are doing something for the community) and it is lots of fun.

DIRECTIONS:
OR, Monmouth; Mary's Peak Hound Club I-5 to Hwy. 34, west on Hwy. 34 to Hwy. 99 west. North on Hwy. 9 west about 10 mi. to Camp Adair Rd. Go east about 1/2 mi. to E.E Wilson Wildlife Management Area Office. 29555 Camp Adair Rd, Monmouth. Contact Kimberlie White (541) 990-6414

If any one in this area has a dog they would like to hunt come on out. We came out with alot of money last year for this. What a cool thing to do. Hunt to help out kids.

Libby, What time does the Beagle stuff start. I guess I should know since I have to be there hu..

I guess I need to think about moving north... You guys have all the fun stuff up there.. It is boring down here in So OR... or at least until the snow hits LOL.

If I get a chance to get up there, I will see if I can lose a dog for the evening for a good cause

Nobody had a dog with quills!!! Pliers come in leatherman's anyway...

Like Nora said, there were no plus points or coon seen on Saturday, but there were on Fri grade hunt. Heck, had about twice as many grade dogs as UKC.

We took up up to Mt Hood last night...never treed a coon there before and last night didn't break that record. That's about the last place it's safe and legal on public land in Clackamas County.

Tiny, please ask Chawn to call me when you read this...503-722-1558, thanks.

That is because I left the bluetick at home, she hasn't seen one of those yet.. I bet she would get a faceful! Course I would have to hunt to try and catch one :P I quit buying leatherman's.. Nick always loses them
