WOW that is terrible. You need to treat your pup better. I am guessing the blanket on the chair means that wasn't the first time you abused that dog. But my question is if you let them sleep with a teddy bear does it make them a better bear dog?

These are all great post and I hope more come on, because you know that "people" are watching forums like this to get the hunting post off here to twist into something bad. Yea they show the "soft side" of us big mean bad hunters but in truth it is the real side that we as hunters don't tend to show. Not because we don't want to but because we don't think about it. It is just everyday life for us to take care of our dogs and treat them right, so the stories we tell are the ones in the field and the success of our dogs. I am willing to bet there are more then a handfull of dads and moms that are houndsmen out there that have kids that more then once found them playing with a hound or falling asleep with a hound. I just hope that some one from the HSUS or another organization stumble apone this.

We've got 7 dogs at my place and they are all spoiled rotten house dogs. Heck my dad takes his favorite cold nose jump dog fishing with him. Although he has to keep him collared up and tied up or he'll jump right out of the boat if he smells a yote on shore.
