What is the best brand of scent?
I am training my first hound and was curious what everyones opinion is as to what the best brand of scent to use for scent drags is. Thanks for the help.

I only train with Grawes and Cronks those 2 actually use glands and not just piss.

The BEST brand of scent for you to train pups on, is made by the critter you are after. Nothing else compares, and that goes with the way the trail is made as well.

I am like you and just starting my pups. My 7 month pup was started on scent but before a scent I gave her a coon hide to play with. My thinking is as a pup she would put the scent and the hide together and want to find her toy when I laid the trail. My next pup is younger and wouldn't look at a liquid sent but when I gave her a freshly killed coon she chased and played with it when I drug it around. then my wife took it laid a trail on some wet ground and hid it and the pup put her nose right to the ground and found it.
