I checked out the website. looks pretty cool and worth the money. Sure would give Mom and the wife some peace of mind. Mom can hear us on the radio most of the time and when we go off she gets worried. She says she turns the radio off when she hears " *&#$! He's on the Ground!"

Hey Ike, is there any monthly charge with this. I am looking for something like this, after taking a flight with two dogs off a cliff last night. I was real lucky, but it would have taken along time to find me if I would of got hurt. This sounds real handy. Thanks for the info.

the unit had sent twenty-two or three messages of my location every ten minutes while I was gone. I checked each location box and asked for a map and it showed my route for the trip in ten minute increments.

there must be a way we could adapt this to tracking dogs -- :)

Ike is there anyway you could strap a collar on that thing. For those of us that can get cell service all you would need is your cell and a map or gps to pinpoint the dog's location with ease. It sounds like to me that it might beat the Garmin GPS system with it's range. Only one thing. I saw on their website that all it needs is a "clear view of the sky". What the heck does that mean? Ike, how does it work in really nasty weather and under thick cover?
