Water powered dog silencer Any experience???

Post by cat and bear »

Any of you folks had any experience with these, lion country is selling them

Water-Powered Kennel Silencer

The new water-powered kennel silencer will eliminate nuisance barking within a 2000 square foot kennel area. It uses an innovative sensor to detect a bark within the set perimeter which opens an electric water valve to shower the area with water until the barking stops. The impulse sprinkler head can shoot a stream of water up to 40 feet, so one sprinkler will cover up to an 80 foot circle. The arc can be adjusted to concentrate on your problem barkers or widened to cover the whole kennel. More bark sensors and sprinkler heads can be added to customize a system for any kennel. The Water Powered Kennel Silencer is designed for outdoor use and includes a Control Unit, Bark Pick-Up Unit, an Electric Water Valve and Impulse Sprinkler Head. You will need to have electric and water supplied to your kennel area. Features include: - Controls nuisance barking within a 2,000 square foot area - Operates on a 120 VAC house current and a water supply near kennels - Automatically triggers when a dog barks - Step-by-step instructions for installation - Keeps dogs calm 24 hours a day - Reinforces silence of dogs without hurting or punishing them - 30-Day money-back guarantee - One year warranty

I have a similar system set up and if your asking whether water spray works or not the answer is yes. the reasons i use one is bark collars have their draw backs. the spray system doesn't. I don't know why a hound who will dive in a coffee can full of water given a chance hates being sprayed but it does. the up side is when something happens to set a whole kennel off you don't get a young hound get it's brain fried or older dogs learn to bark only with out the collar. it works for one or all your hounds.

A good friend of mine uses one in his kennel, and I'll tell you its a wonderful thing. When I get my kennel finished you can bet it will have one. Only draw back is where I live I can only use it in the summer months.
