New to the sport!!

Post by bowbearhunter »

Hello guys I am fairly new to the hound hunting sport I started 4 years ago I am 31 now and I am hooked I started with just one walker/plott mix hunting bear and coyote. I joined a group of guys that have hound hunted for years. Then I tryed my luck at cat hunting and I'm HOOKED!! Now I have that walker/plott mix a Utchman bluetick and 3 camerons and a cameron/smokey river mix. I ThinK I have been very lucky in the cat hunting department my first year I didn't get any cats, 2nd got one, third year 7 and this year 5 and I also got my first Mt. lion this year over my dogs also after going for 2 year before that and not getting any!! So I am very excited but bottom line is CATS are for me I don't care about bear, coyotes, or fox just something to pass the time when I can't run cats!! I would love to get any info or hunt with any of you Great houndsmen so I can learn as much as I can about hunting cats!!
P.S. I tried to post some pics of my cats on other threads but it's not working very good! I'm sure its just me but I'll keep trying!!

Thanks for your time, Aaron

Aaron thats great. Sounds like your pumped for sure and from the looks of it your hounds are doing a good job.
Remember one thing, those fellas that have let you in their group.....sounds like a good bunch and maybe one day you can return the favor to another young houndsmen looking to get a start.
Once again great job

Wow. Usually when I take people it's like..."Is it like this all the time?" Too much walking into; but mostly out of, those deep dark canyons I suppose. Or maybe they just don't like the company! :?
