kamphouse plott
kamphouse plott
i just bought 2 yr old kamphouse plott he is red with a little white on the chest. got him from kyle adamson out of glens ferry idaho. havent had the chance to run him yet will run him on some coon this sunday night. just woundering if any one knows anything about this breed of plott or have ran with these doggs. kyle seems very stait up he let me know the dogs faults and stong points and is willing to take me hunting with this dog to show me what he can do. this young dog is suppose to rigg bear and coon and start his own track, says he opens on trail real good and stong on the tree, if this young dog does everything i have been told it would do should be a very good hound

Re: kamphouse plott
We owned several Kamphouse dogs right off Don. They were top bear dogs, in every way. Dam shame to waste their talent on a coon

Re: kamphouse plott
I have hunted with Kyles dogs, as well as all the dogs behind them for three generations...as "cat and bear" said they are bear dogs, but they will catch lion and coon for ya to. Most the Kamphouse dogs are fast and gritty, remind folks of the old time Plott cur type dogs.
Take care.

I was impressed with them dogs from Kyle the few times I seen them go. Fairly athletic for a hound type and they did tree bear. Too bad Kyle is a goofy dick. HAHAHA!
Re: kamphouse plott
ya alot of people think coon is a waste of time, but for me it gives me and my dogs somthing to do in the winter, come spring and sumer in to fall bear is all i do, i love to run hounds and the more i run them weather it be bear, lion, bobcat or coon its just fun to get out, I like my dogs to be well rounded so that way i can run dogs year round
