Hello From OR
Hi there everybody new to the forum and pretty new to the sport purchased two walkers about a year ago and have really enjoyed startin these dogs. Looking to make a purchase on some equiptment but I can't make up my mind. Which is more important a Good set of shock collars or a tracking system. I have a cheaper set of collars I've used thus far but they only work about 500 yards or so. I hunt in open/ Juniper and sage covered mountains so I'm not sure I need a tracking system, any thoughts? Also maybe a box Cause this dogs in the back seat crap is starting to bother me, and it's colder than crap outside.

you owe it to your hounds and yourself to get a unit. You will spend countless hours looking for hounds and dropping coats if you don't. The fuel cost alone will pay for the sytem

Yea 10-4 on the tracking equipment, I bought a Magnum box after using wildlife for 20 years and it's kinda nice when you hunt with diff. people and they have diff. freq. collars as you can track all freqs. Heck for now if ya cant afford a dog box just threw together a plywood one to haul them in. Good luck and always have fun out there. Mike
