Started dog, young dog, or pup? I know of some plotts old enough to start a man has out of good bear and hog dogs. You could get them pretty cheap. Let me know I will get you his name and number. I could have one male plott pup left that I would sell out of my litter I was going to keep him. He is out of Cowboy Up and my hog dog female registered UKC performance paid. She is the fastest hound I have ever hunted. I would be more than happy to give more information. I live in IN by Indianapolis.

Recently I spoke to a man in WI who has July Hounds. He runs them hard on yotes in trials(don't ask me how it works) he had one six months old. Google Tri State July Hounds. Nice guy if I was looking for a dog to hunt them they would really interest me because they run to bay, catch and kill them.

Lot of guys around here run running walkers. If you dont find anything let me know as I know a few guys that have some good older dogs for sale (4-8 years old) because they have too many young dogs. PM me if interested and I will geve them your name and number. Hope that works but with all the nutjobs out there I wont post any of my guys numbers or names.

Got some free Plott/Walker pups. We run alot of coyote with the mother and father and they do good. It wouldnt be hard to get them on some coyote.

Not all dogs and breeds run coyotes the same. Are you looking to run super fast dogs on hot rack that are going to run to catch? Or are you looking to jump but not push to fast so you can shoot them with a gun? Or are you looking to run old tracks and don't care how fast the dogs are? etc. etc. etc. There are all different kinds of way to run yotes and just about every guy has a different idea of how it should be done. So put some thought into what you want before you invest in a dog that's not going to give you what you are looking for.

I meet a lot of guys who are new to running coyotes and I would recomend starting with a slower dog. Dont matter what breed as long as it will run a coyote. i have found that the faster foxhounds will leave the country and if there are a lot of roads it can cause a lot of problems. A coyote will only run as fast as he has to so it is also easier to gun a yote in front of a slow dog as well
