Starting a Organization

I was thinking about starting a organization for biggame houndsmen here in Oklahoma. I of course realize we don't have all the biggame other states have. But we do have lots of bobcats and the occasional Mtn. Lion. and of course hogs and coons. Although Lions are not yet considered game animals here. And are not to be pursued as such.

My question though is has anyone ever started such a club. What is necessary? Start up cost? Etc...

And I am not really sure anyone around here would be interested.

it depends if you want to go non-profit or otherwise...but there should be plenty of avenues to take. You need to get a group together (foundation group) and come up with a charter/by-laws. and go from there.

I see. It would be non profit. Myself and several other fellas have discussed it. Not real sure what we are wanting just yet.
