no bark collars?
well my pup has decided too get the cops involved in my life once again. she barks after 10 PM which is quite hour here were i live and my neighbors have complained a few times and cops have given me couple three warnings now and said if she does not stop there next visit will end me up in court of some sort. so my question is has any one used no bark collars for this reason or similiar reasons. ive tried to presued her other ways a glove to the head and that sort of reinforcement nothing outlandish but she is hard headed but tons of potention so i dont want to ruin her. any suggestion or thoughts would help tons. thanks.
unless your the alpha dog your just starring at the dogs A$# in front of you!!!

Re: no bark collars?
Use your bark collar. I have the same problem with a pup. Put it on her and she will be fine. Dogs know the differance between nuisance barking and game barking. Dont put the old tri-tronics on her and light up her life but go ahead and use a good bark collar. Wont hurt her a bit.

Re: no bark collars?
I second Bear Hunter's support for using a no-bark collar. Based on my personal experience with them...if you leave them on the dog for an extended period of time a dog will develop a sore from the contacts. I would leave the collar on for 24 hours then remove it for a couple of hours then put it back on....just watch for a sore to be developing.
I use the Tri Tronics Bark-Limiter. The battery can easily be replaced...they're a 3 volt camera battery and readily available. They are motion activated. Have had trouble with the on-off button. I just leave mine on all the time....it won't turn on if you don;t move it anyway. Battery lasts me about 6 months. An added feature is the collar monitors how many times your dog barks. So, if you're away from home you can check and see how well the dog is learning not to bark.
