Although the background of the White Cloud line came from that country I don't think much or the original Mullins line is left. Martin Clem of Arizona really carried this line forward. I would guess Weldon Hopman of Arizona has about as much White Cloud in his line as there is left around. I had a male that came to me thru Curtis Prock and he got her from Clem, and this was many years ago.Hard going little bear dog and fast, but medium nosed, I crossed him on a bitch I got from Morris Hurt out of Banjo and got some really nice pups that started early and made good tree dogs. I didn't keep any mysef for any length of time, but heard good report on them. The Bawling Banjo and Shives Goldhill Tom dogs I had were better all around I felt and sure had better noses for cold trail work. Kick myslef a lot of times for letting that line get away and for not spending more time with them good looking son of a guns.

The gyp I have has alot of White Cloud on the top and Marosok's Bobby and Topper and a ton of Nance stock on the bottom. I crossed her with a Spring Creek Rock male and have had some really fast starting, cold nosed, move a track, tree dogs.

The best hound I ever owned was out of Double Banjo in 3 generations Mike. Got her from Don Holum out Holums Banjo and Holums Judy which were both out of Hurst Bawling Banjo and Shives breeding. Those were the good ole days

Scott,

I sure agree. I messed up on the last bitch I had out of Loose Bruce, and let her get away with a big package of bear dogs I sold. I was keeping 30 to 40 hounds back in those days and was hunting really hard. She was shining big time, and I needed to move about half a dozen, and the guy just wouldn't budge unless I put her in the deal. I did and he caught a lot of bear but never capitalized on the breeding of that walker bitch. Live and learn, hopefull I have a little, but like you say somtimes when you let that slip thru your fingers it is hard to get it back.

Doesn't Hershel Joyner have some of that stuff yet? I see he carries alot of Loose Bruce in his stock. Uncle Brisco may know more about that.
