Help me win an argument

We have a pretty heated argument going here about how many dogs is enough to consistently tree lions. I am asking a "general" question and I know it depends on the dogs themselves. I guess my question is how many dogs do you guys use??? I have not included names to protect the innocent. Thanks, B
