Benny this is for you :)

Post by Big Horn Posse »

Benny,

Bella ran her first ever bobcat. She has finally come of age and when she hit that track today something clicked and the puppy dissapeared and a cat chasing fool came out. :) I am so happy with little Bella. She has never been on a bobcat before. I just walked her down an old track for a bit last week for a short distance. This one today was her turn to prove herself that she can hang with the Ozzfest. :) She actually outshined him a couple times when they lost it in the rocks. I am so proud of her as I knew she had it in her, just needed to settle down and focus. Unfortunately I had to cut them off when the track was headed to a ranch I cannot hunt on and those two dogs wanted no part of me pulling them off. They fought me all the way back to the truck :( I am hunting the next 3 days so hopefully we can get on a lion or a bobcat that will stay on land I can hunt. :) Thanks Benny for such a wonderful pup. :) Her and Ozzy are a real team :) Here are some video I took today of her and Ozzy :)

Well it's about time that little mutt started doing more than jump and poop!  Maybe with another 200,000 miles afoot, she'll start chasing more than the feed wagon. She's bred to do it, just keep going.

I am concerned, however, that she's having to take the easy way out, and settle for being a snow dog :( , but one step at a time.

Tessa,

I enjoyed seeing that pup go and I would say she is going to make the grade. Good job staying up there with that video sounded like you were having to hump it pretty hard to stay up. Hugh! Hugh! Hack! Hack! LOL! Trust me I know the feeling! LOL!

Keep up the good work! I

Thanks guys for the kind words on Bella. :)

Benny, after today I really detest deep snow and would rather hunt the dirt or a light dusting of snow anyday. I got a little ambitious and climbed the face of the mountain. The snow got a little deep and I made it to the top, but felt my knee pop and felt a shot of pain. I decided to head back to the truck and not run the lion track I had found. Figured today was not the day to cripple myself. Going down was terrible. I was near tears by the time I got back to the truck. Going to take some ibruprophin and try again tomorrow, but in an area that is not as steep and as deep. :)

Throw that ibuprofin aside. I've got some vicoden and coors lights! Just a couple applications, and you'll never even know you have a knee!
