no snow, redbones & yotes

Post by kc »

today we put out the 2 young hounds from the day before and they had a pair going in no time. the male yote came back at the hounds and was greeted by kelly in not such a nice manor. he decieded to check out and jeff put him down. after that i took in my 2 hounds rooster & katie and they picked up the other yote. they took her down thru a swamp, then up a big ridge. when she back into the swamp and out to a corn field wher they just spread manure young matt dumped her.

Those redbones look really gritty. I have herd of the redbones being beautiful, and having a beautiful bay. Also having cat like feet. But otherwise I don't know a thing about them. It seems as if you have great success running them with coyotes. Are they more of a running hounds like triggs etc? Also how is their nose? Did they kills those coyotes themselves, if so is it just your line of dogs that are really gritty or are most redbones gritty?

major, redbones are tree hounds, but they do have great stamina. i been breeding my line for 30+ years to get them where i want them. the have pretty cold noses and will hold a bay on anything from yotes to bears. i run them on both and do well with each. those hounds did not kill the yote themselves, but any tree hound is pretty gritty. if you would like to see more of my hounds, check out the link below. i have sold quite a few hounds to guys in pa. over the last few years for coyote dogs.
