Nice lookin bear and congrats. I agree with buck i like the looks of your dogs. breed a little trigg in there and you will have all the speed that you want. Those bears sure are beautiful. It sucks that the closest ive been to one in a tree is on this computer but hey maybe some day oregon will pull their heads out of their asses...... wishfull thinking. Again good job and some very nice looking hounds!houndnem wrote:I always thought they were way fast, until I got these couple little plott dogs from those medina boys down in nm. now I would have to say they are average. but this day the little plott dog in the pics blew her pads and my holsteins won the race! the other plott was so fast that she missed the tree. I gotta give it up to both the medinas and bency for trainin up some smokin good bear dogs and sending them my way. Don't know if I could have pulled it off if not for that. also my good friend russel smith had a bunch of dogs in on the race. it was a team effort for sure! we also let the bear live to run again despite having two kill tags in possesion. waitin for that big bore!
I don't think we have to worry about that.Benny G wrote:Congrats. I sure hope that you don't get Bency polluted with those plotts now!
I'm thinking they are weems? not sure. They are seriousely scary fast! personally as a mostly cat hunter, I had all the speed I needed with my walker/ bluetics, but I think on these bears it don't hurt to hall a little @ss!chilcotin hillbilly wrote:Nice job on the bear. What line of plotts are you running. The guys know that have run plotts in the past describe them as average speed only. I would be interested to know.

No problem, Mike. I've just got to look out for the future of that little blue pup.bency wrote:Benny G,
If I ever get that far over the edge then just make sure to cut the rope.
