caught myself on fire today at school

i was welding wit an arc welder showing a kid in my class how to do it (we have to weld in ag) and i stopped and was talking to him and my leg was really warm and i looked down and my pants were on fire..
while zach (kid i was showing how to weld) was yelling "DONNIES ON FIRRREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" i was running around slapping my leg hoping on one foot with a flame about to my knee..my mask fell back over my head and i couldn see and everyone got a good laugh and i got some burnt pants and singed leg hairs.

Hahaha don't feel so bad same thing happend to me in okaw a few years ago only it was my sleve that went up in flames, atleast everyone got a good laugh. So do you do any coonhunting? I have a couple walker hounds a 10 year old nite champ and a 10 month pup who is coming alond very nicely I work with him almost every day but I'm gunna take a break cuz I'm turning 21 n a couple weeks and we have some big plans. Get back 2 me and we can swap hunting stories. Take it easy and pay attention when welding lol!!!!

I did this before too in my autobody class, except I was kneeling on the ground trying to get underneth of the car to weld it and caught my zipper area on fire. I was feeling like i was getting hot, and i was right.

bahaha i have done this before too but not in front of a classroom!! start feelin a lil warm look down and all you can see is flames!! bad smell from the burnt hair and a big hole in the pants. one time i was welding on my friends demo car and he had a jerry can in the back with a hose in it well he took the can out but left the hose. so i was welding and saw flames so i stopped took the helmet off and gas was dripping out of the hose no big deal. well my friend decided to grab the hose and pull it out of the car but when he pulled on it it came out like two feet and got caught! well that pulled the hose out of his hand and the hose sling shotted back across the car spraying gas all over the inside and boom big flames car is burning inside my shop not good. after running around for a bit like chickens with our heads cut off i managed to find the fire extinguisher and put it out before it got too far out of hand..

i had a kid oil his oxy-acetylene welding gloves. "they where getting hard and dry, so i rubbed a little oil on em" don't know what he used but it made a nice flame.
